STUDENT INFORMATION | LIBRARY GUIDLINES

MISSION
The mission of the library media program at North Cobb High School is to provide students with the skills and resources to become independent critical readers, thinkers, and information users. The program is designed to support and enhance the North Cobb High School curriculum and its goals.

STUDENT PASSES
  • Students are welcome to use the Library Media Center 7:30am-3:45pm and must sign in.
  • During the school day, students must have a pass from their teacher to come to the Library Media Center and, upon arriving, sign into the computers at the circulation desk.

CHECKOUTS
  •  Fiction and Non-fiction books may be checked out for three weeks. Most material may be renewed for an additional three weeks, unless it has been placed on hold for another student.  Reference books may be checked out for a week.
  • Overdue fines for late books accrue at a rate of 5¢ a day, and a student will not pay more than $3.00 per late book. There is a grace period. The fine for lost books is determined by the book's replacement cost. Students with overdue fines are unable to check out additional materials until Library Media Center fines are cleared.

PRINTING
  • Students may print three black and white pages per day for free, additional pages are 10¢ each.
  • Color printing is available at a cost of 25¢ per page. The Library staff is available to assist students with this request at the circulation desk.
